Greg Holden is a very active, busy and successful New York City singer-songwriter. Surprisingly enough however, he began his musical journey in the UK and has only moved to NYC within the last couple of years.
LP Stiles, a jazz/funk group featured often on PFW, will be playing a show this Friday (March 19th) in Hoboken, NJ. The gig will take place at Bar Saints & Sinners (205 1st Street) and will feature Joseph Branciforte on drums. Been pretty hooked on the international sounds of a band that does what people often call “math rock” very right. Leaving a lot of the genre’s signature confusion behind, UK trio Shapes make some intricate guitar licks, group shouting, and heavy-hitting songwriting way more palatable than say Dillinger Escape Plan ever would.
